Corticosteroids are the most potent and effective local anti – inflamatory medication available. Injection of small amounts of CORTICOSTEROIDS.(Triamcenolone acetonide , Hydrocortisone, Methylpredinosolone) into cutaneous lesions have advantage of achieving high local concentration with prolonged depot effects and no systemic side effects.

    Local side effects
     
    Injection with 1ml tuberculin syringe/insulin syringe is best. Usually 1:4 dilution of the medication will provide enough steroid to reduce inflammation while avoiding side effects.
